I'm on dad's blackberry again... Maybe this will happen more often than I thought.
We are leaving today for a three day trip to a Christian camp called (you guessed it) Rock-N-Water. This is a kind of youth group trip. The others going besides the six in our family are Daniel and Amy Nevins and the incredibly short (yet wise) Mike Tang. Lila Nevins could unfortunately not come as she is recovering from having wisdom teeth removed.
More later (hopefully).

Maybe Not...
Well, I am on another Blackberry. This time, however, it is my dad's. He got it yesterday, and whadda ya know, I'm already posting from it. My fingers still hurt, though.

My first (and quite possibly last) mobile post.
I am using my uncle's blackberry and thought I would try posting from it. I don't know how some people can do this every day- my thumbs are in quite a bit of pain. Well, there it is. I may never do this again, so I will savor the moment. Okay, my thumbs can't take any more. Ciao.

Big News.
I am now officially employed.
Just a few days ago, I began working for Capitol Ministries, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to placing full-time ministry leaders in every state capitol and our nation's capitol, as well as international capitols. I'm having a great time. While I am just a lowly staff assistant, I feel that I have at least some part in the ministry, however small.
One other piece of interesting news- I will not be playing football this year. Basically, I have decided that it is not what I want to be the center of my life for the next 3-4 months.
I will, however, continue to play basketball.

You Need A Furminator!

Doesn't look buch different from an ordinary dog brush, huh?
Well, this thing is incredible!
While this is not our dog, I am sure that this much hair and more has already come off of him. We had heard good reviews of this thing, and while the price tag was a bit scary ($50!!!), we decided to take the plunge. It has already proved itself to be worth the money. The thing took an incredibly disgusting amount of hair off of Duke. Luckily, we had the foresight to go and brush him at a park, where we didn't have to worry about all the hair getting all over our stuff.
His coat already looks a ton better, and I am sure it can only improve.
I'm not usually this enamored of gadgets and stuff, but this thing is awesome.
Home.
As I am sure everyone knows, we are back! We arrived home on Wednesday around 5 o'clock. It is good to be home. We are all adjusting back pretty well, some better than others.
A quick recap of the end part of the trip- we left the Floyd's (the family we stayed with in Kansas) early Saturday morning, and arrived in Monument, Colorado (near Colorado Springs) that afternoon. We stayed with our good friends, the Sinclairs, until Monday. We know the Sinclairs from our days in Southern California, where we all attended the same church. They moved to Colorado in 2007, mainly because of health issues with Mr. Sinclair, who is now doing much better. They have 12 kids, all but two of whom are adopted, and all but one of whom are still living at home. We had a great time there. On Monday, we left there and drove to Park City, Utah, where we spent the night. We then left Park City and drove home. This effectively ended our trip.
As some people may know, I am an avid collector of shot glasses. I ended the trip with 32 (I think) to add to my already large collection of around 50. I will post some pictures soon.
One interesting coincidence involved with returning home is that, today, Mom and Lindsay drove to L.A. for a women's conference at The Master's College, so it is just us boys here at home until later in the day on Sunday.
This is pretty much the end of the trip, but we will remember it til we die. We will be back at church on Sunday.

The Beginning of the End.
We are nearing the end. On Wednesday, July 9, at roughly 4:05 a.m., we officilly began our journey home. On the 9th, we traveled from where we were staying in Maryland to the Legacy Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The Legacy Center is a hotel run by Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in Louisville, we enjoyed some great barbeque from a restaurant called Mark's Feed Store. We left Louisville early the next morning, and headed to Kansas, where we are right now. We have stayed one night here, and will be staying one more. We are staying with one of Dad's college friends and his family. We will be leaving tomorrow morning to head for Colorado Springs.
